First Pets
Hello:
I am new to blogging. I want this to entertain and perhaps enlightening.
When I was a kid my best friend and playmate was Diana, a monkey.
Diana wore a diaper and during this time disposal diapers did not exist. You would go to a store just for diapers. These were cloth diapers so could be cleaned, washed etc and reused.
A story I was told by my mom and grandmother is when they had to go buy more diapers for Diana. The sales person was pulling diapers out of a rolling rack to select the correct size. The clerk pulled out one diaper and was advised that it would not be big enough for the tail. The clerk paused. She did not say a word about the comment. Quickly rang up my grandmother's purchase and sent them out of the store. I can only imagine how her mind properly wandered with tail and the conversation later at home.
I was around 4 or years of age. I believe that we were mentally at the same level. We made up games and played for hours. The game I remember most is we would run up to each other stop right before we were to run into each other and start laughing.
Diana also ate at the table; usually in a high chair. She was allowed to use her hands.
